Journal of William Shackford Gridley How (1831-1860). Copied in his hand from his originals, contains a pencil and ink sketch of Observatory Hill [last page] made September 17, 1853. Subjects covered are attending Lyceum Lectures, visiting people, attending school before college, travels, decision to try to get into Dartmouth College (Sept. 8, 1852) and his time at Dartmouth.
