Biography
Donald Stuart Hoffman was born on June 11, 1931 in San Francisco. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1953 with a BA and from Harvard University with an MA in 1955. From 1957-1963, Hoffman was the music instructor at the American College for Girls in Istanbul, Turkey, after which he became an assistant professor of music at Roberts College (1965-1973). During the 1970s, Hoffman was an instructor at various school before moving into radio working at WPFW Washington, WYSU Youngstown, Ohio and Prarie Public Radio in Bismarck, North Dakota. He died in 2006.
