Biography
Ellen Frances Burpee Farr was born on November 14, 1840 in New Hampton. She attended Thetford Academy after which she became a teacher of drawing in the New Hampton Institution. She married Evarts W. Farr (1840-1880) in 1861. After his death Farr became an artist.
