Biography

Thomas Albert Foster was born on November 19, 1888 in Portland Maine. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1910 and received his medical degree from Harvard University in 1914. Before joining the Dartmouth Medical School, Foster was a pediatrician in Portland, Maine.

Extracts from lectures delivered at Dartmouth Medical Theatre by Nathan Smith (1762-1829) on theory and practice of physics. Also includes, laid in, Postmortem examinations in Saco and Biddeford (1837-1838) and formulas for medicine. The book was given to the library by Dr. Thomas A. Foster of the Dartmouth Medical School in 1951.
