Scope and Contents
The Letters of Jane R. Wilder include a letter from H.G. Clapp and Susan W. Clapp to Wilder describing the sugaring process in Brattleboro, Vermont. There is also a letter with family news to Susan W. Clapp from a cousin and reference made to Cousin Jane as well as to the trouble of the southern and border states during the Civil War. The letters are accompanied by ink and watercolor illustrations. Material was found among the MacKaye papers.
