Lagerloef, Hans, 1880-1952
Biography
Hans Lagerloef was born in 1880 in Sweden. He immigrated to the United States in 1903 where he worked in international trade primarily in the pulp and paper business. Lagerloef was the owner of one of the world's largest stamp collection. Gifts made by him to Sweden led to the building of an annex to the Postal Museum in Stockholm. Lagerloef died in 1952.

Abstract
Sven Anders Hedin (1865-1952), Swedish geographer and explorer. The collection contains his correspondence with Hans Lagerloef relating to the Sino-Swedish Expedition of 1927-1935 and to an issue of postage stamps intended to finance the expedition and its report. Some printed material is also included.
