Biography

Joseph Priestley was born on March 13, 1733 in Birstall, England. He was an English Separatist theologian, natural philosopher, chemist, innovative grammarian, multi-subject educator, and liberal political theorist who published over 150 works. Priestley died on February 6, 1804.

Letter from Joseph Priestley of Warrington to Rev. Seddon in London. Priestley writed about the controversy surrounding Mr. Palmer and of efforts to remove him to Exeter. He also mentions Aiken, Taylor and Pope as well as microscopes. Includes a letter from Priestley to an unnamed recepient introducing George Scott.
