Biography

Theodore Atkinson was Secretary of the Province of N.H., 1741 (a title which he passed to his son, Theodore Jr., in 1760, but which went back to Theodore IV after Jr.'s death) as well as Colonel in the N.H. Militia, a member of the NH House of Representatives and a Chief Justice, (N.H.) Superior Court.

Letter from Ethan Allen of Bennington, Vermont to Theodore Atkinson in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, sending a pamphlet he has written on public conduct and the former rite of extension of New Hampshire. Hopes Atkinson will approve of it.
