Biography

Roger D. Masters, Research Professor at Dartmouth College, Nelson A. Rockefeller Professor of Government, Emeritus at Dartmouth College, President of the Foundation for Neuroscience and Society. Born June 8, 1933. Received a B.A. from Harvard, Class of 1955. Servd in the Army. Completed graduate work in political philosophy at the University of Chicago, where he wrote his doctoral dissertation on Rousseau under the direction of Professor Leo Strauss and Professor Joseph Cropsey (M.A. 1958, Ph.D 1961).
