Biography
Richard D. Hill was born on November 6, 1919 in Salem, Massachusetts. He matriculated with the Class of 1941 at Dartmouth and was enrolled as a 3/2 student at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. Following his graduation from Tuck in 1942, he spent four years as a naval officer in the Pacific Theater. He served Dartmouth as an overseer of the Tuck School from 1971 to 1973 and then as a trustee of the College from 1973 to 1983, and was elected chairman from 1981 to 1983.

Oral history interview with Richard D. Hill
The oral history interview of Richard D. Hill is comprised of audiocassette recordings and an indexed transcript of the recordings. The interview was conducted by Jane L. Carroll on May 15, 1998 and Daniel Daily on October 17, 2000. The entire interview runs for approximately three hours and covers his undergraduate years at Dartmouth as well as his years volunteering with the alumni club and serving as an overseer, trustee and chairman of the board of trustees.
