Biography

Ruth Francis Hoyer Hasenkamp Savage was born on September 16, 1907, in Brooklyn, NY. Her first husband, Henry Hasenkamp, died in 1945. She was later remarried to J. William Savage. Ruth Savage died in Belmont, CA on November 16, 1994.

Bruce Henry Hasenkamp was born 12 May 1938, in Westwood, New Jersey. Hasenkamp attended Westwood High School (graduating in 1956) matriculating to Dartmouth College, Class of 1960. While at Dartmouth, Hasenkamp participated in numerous activities including “The Dartmouth” (becoming Executive Editor, 1959-1960), Dartmouth College Band, Undergraduate Council, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity (Vice President, 1959-1960; primarily responsible for Campaign to Remove Fraternity’s National Discriminatory Clause at National Biennial Conclave in 1959), member of Dartmouth College Army ROTC and “The Army Cadet” (newspaper of Army ROTC Unit; became first freshman to be elected President of newspaper).

Abstract
