Biography

Andrew Wallace was born on March 22, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio. He entered Duke University in 1953 and earned his B.S. and MD degrees in 1958. Dr. Wallace spent thirty-seven years at Duke, serving in various capacities, including professor, chief of cardiology and, beginning in 1980, CEO of Duke University Hospital. He was hired as Dean and VP for Health Affairs at Dartmouth in 1990. Dr Wallace retired from Dartmouth in 1998.
