Biography
Leslie Whitmore Snow was born in Snowville, NH, on December 9, 1890, to parents Leslie Perkins and Susan Eliza (Currier) Snow. His mother died in his youth, and his father married her sister, Norma Cutter (Currier) Snow. Leslie Whitmore Snow graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1912, in the same year as his brother, Conrad Snow. He later went on to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating with a B.S. in 1914. Snow served a year overseas in the ordnance department of the US Army during the first World War. In 1921, he married Emily Royer, and they later had three daughters—Shirley, Janet (name later changed to Leslie), and Elizabeth. Professionally, he was an employee of Chase Securities Corporation, Chase Harris Forbes Corporation, and the Chase National Bank, eventually serving as vice president of Chase National Bank from 1933 to 1945. Leslie Whitmore Snow was the president and director of the Founders Corporation of Theta Delta Chi. He died on August 15, 1958, and is buried in Rochester, NH.
