Three-page letter from Robert Charles Winthrop to Joseph Gales, telling him that he is sending 6 bottles of the Constitution Madeira, imported in honor of Daniel Webster and the Hayne Speech, and a few bottles of Chambertin, to assure Mr. Gale of his grateful rememberance of his kind attentions. He regrets that he and Mrs. Winthrop are unable to dine with Gales today.
