Biography
Levi Frisbie was born on 11 April 1748 in Branford, Connecticut. Frisbie began his studies at Yale, but was a member of the first class to graduate from Dartmouth College in 1771. Frisbie joined David McClure in 1772 as a missionary among the Delaware Indians and was installed in New Ipswich, MA to preach in 1776. He stayed in New Ispwich until his death on February 25, 1806.

Abstract
In 1772 Levi Frisbie and David McClure were selected by Dartmouth's founder, Eleazor Wheelock, to travel to Fort Pitt (present day Pittsburgh) and further west into Ohio and the Delaware Indian's territory to proselytize. Before departing they had hoped to be joined by Samson Occum, Wheelock's student and graduate of the Indian Charity School.
