Biography
Huntly Allison graduated from Dartmouth College in 1942 after which he signed up for the V-7 program but was discharged early due to a stomach ulcer. His professional career spanned stints at American Airlines, IBM, Connecticut General Insurance Company and finally at Connecticut Mutual Insurance Company. He retired in 1973 and moved to the Upper Valley in the 1980s where he died in 2014.

Huntly Allison letters
The collection contains letter from Huntly Allison to his father, B. R. Allison while he was a student at Dartmouth College. Of note is an emotional letter written three days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, containing Huntley's feelings of uncertainity about the future. Two telegrams related to his pledging of fraternities are also included.
