Hall, David K., 1929-2007
Biography
David K. Hall was born November, 25 1929, in Bromley, England. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1951 after which he entered the Navy. He left the service in 1957 with the rank of lieutenant. He joined the University of California Radiation Laboratory as an experimental physicist in 1957, and worked there on numerous projects of national importance until 1973, when he joined Science Application International Corporation (SAIC). In 1977 he started an office of SAIC in Hanover with the objective of integrating some of SAIC's activities with the physical sciences staff at Dartmouth College. He also worked on the adaptation of numerical techniques developed under the auspices of the Department of Defense to such problems as poverty and finding a cure for cancer. Hall died on February 2, 2007.
