Contains final editions of two studies, “Facial Expressions of Emotion as Conditioned Stimuli for Human Autonomic Responses,” and “Effects of Control and Observation on Pain Responses,” and a draft entitled “Effects of Being Observed on Expressive, Subjective, and Physiological Responses to Painful Stimuli,” all co-authored by Lanzetta. There is also an edited manuscript and several drafts, accompanied by reviewers’ comments, of the eventually titled “Vicarious Instigation and Conditioning of Facial Expressions and Autonomic Responses to a Model’s Expressive Display of Pain,” also co-authored by Lanzetta. The papers also include articles by other psychologists, handwritten notes, and Lanzetta’s correspondence regarding his research and writing.
