Contains fifty-two digitized audio tapes (no Tape 21 or 45) recorded between 1982 and 1990, addressed to Phil Cronenwett, former Chief of Special Collections and Curator of Manuscripts at Dartmouth College, containing recollections, anecdotes and commentary chronicling the life of Frances A. Ross and to a lesser extent that of her father Thomas A. Ross in Nome and on King Island, Alaska from the 1880's to the 1960's as well as her life in Seattle, Washington in the 1980's. Each tape references materials which are included, among them photographs, newspaper clippings, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, flyers, audio reels and on phonograph record of King Island songs and stories as well as lectures, manuscripts, notes, slides, vocabulary cards, artifacts, prints, diplomas and ephemera
