Description

Financial information, including tax and medical insurance records, and a large handmade Christmas card. Contains personal belongings from his childhood and early adulthood. Of note are a “Places Visited” journal; an envelope labeled “Autobiographical Material” containing a piece “My Story of Love” and a letter to his former wife; his passport; three diaries dating around his college years; a binder of class notes; a record of manuscripts submitted; the Dartmouth College Freshman Green Book from 1925; three framed photographs; a folder of childhood illustrations and high school assignments; a record of his service with the Vermont State Guard; a book of finances; and a graded paper “The Renaissance on Fifth Avenue.” Also included is a copy of the affidavit, petition and order to show case of the 1879 Supreme Court, City and County of New York, case, “The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York against Fitz James Fitch and Others” (1879)
