Provost Leonard M. Reiser then introduces Reverend Warner R. Traynham '57, Dean of the Tucker Foundation, who delivers the Invocation. President of Yale A. Bartlett Giammatti follows with the greeting and delivers an excellent account of the early history of Dartmouth. Chariman of the Board of Trustes Richard D. Hill presents President Mclaughilin with the College Charter, and President Emeritus Kemeny presents the Wentworth Bowl and the Flude Medallion. President McLaughlin awards Honorary Degrees to both John and Jean Kemeny and addresses the College, focusing on his plans for the College and its faculty and students.
