“On the Waterfront”, 1952 - 2004

Contains materials related to the film and stage version of "On The Waterfront" as well as its never produced sequel "Back on the Waterfront". They include the original, produced screenplay and earlier drafts entitled "The Golden Warriors" and "Waterfront" as well as scripts for the stage version, articles, reports, correspondence, newspaper clippings, programs, brochures and research materials. Of note is a version of the script with the inscription "rushed to Brando" and correspondence between Elia Kazan, Budd Schulberg regarding the casting of Marlon Brando.
