These notes include historical information on various northeastern mountains (the Catskills, the White Mountains, the Adirondacks), notes about wintering in the mountains, information on walking tours taken by northeastern colleges, rail access to the mountains, notes about hotels and lodging in the mountains, information about the Hitchcock survey and the Colvin survey, and coverage of the clubs and organizations involved with the mountains.
