Contains, two Manuscript Diaries, which each encompass one year’s passage from the years, 1862 and 1869. Set of ten Official Government Certificates regarding the appointment of Rufus E. Patten to various military and government posts, beginning with First Sergeant and Clerk of the 17th Regiment of Militia, in the state of NH in 1832 and ending with Patten’s appointment as Justice of the Peace for Rockingham County, NH in 1865.
