Description

Notes by F. Parkman Coffin as well as correspondences and clippings that were saved. This includes messages to and from Gordon Day about the “Abnaki” and their language. Coffin was also interested in the geological mapping of Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as applying Native names to species (as detailed in note with the Massachusetts Audubon Society), and identifying Native names that already existed (such as towns).
