Description

From the Collection:

The records of Dean of the Faculty contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, surveys, budget and meeting minutes, rosters, applications, proposal, articles, grant material, personnel and student records, resumes, receipts, lists, certifications, schedules, recommendations, research papers, faculty cards, appointments and promotions, and microfilms. The records document the activities, organizations, and authority of the department.

Committees represented here include the Faculty Research Committee, Trustee Planning Committee, Rockefeller Center, The Committee on Student Life, Committee on Fellowship and Prized, Curriculum Review Committee, Resource Center, Campus Safety, Sexual Assault, Senior Survey, Faculty Affirmative Action Review Committee, FERPA, Provost Council, ROTC, the Special Committee of Seven, as well as faculty committees on Athletics, Commencement, Educational Planning, statistics and policy and the Arts and Sciences.

Ad Hoc Committees include the Committee on Advising, Equal Opportunity, Faculty Compensation and Benefits, ROTC, Tenure, Writing and Organization of the Faculty.

Projects represented here include the Dickey Project, the Electron Microscope and the Gilman Medical Biomedical Center, the Spoor Lecture Series, the Computer Literacy and Information Program (CLIPP), Council of Special Programs (Fourth Council), the Sloan Workshop, and the Higher Education General Information Survey (HEGIS) and ASAUP.

Files of the Deans of the Faculty Leonard Rieser and Hans Penner are also included.
