Description

We were all drafted right after college in 1968, went through basic training and advanced infantry training (AIT) at various army bases, and were shipped to Vietnam as infantrymen in 1969. Through a series of fortunate events, we all god the job of battalion correspondent/photographer within our respective battalions. OUr battalions, the 2/12th and 2/14th, were in the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry division. Our brigade information office and dark room where we printed our photos and submitted our stories was under the charge of LT J.T. Richards, later of Alburquerque, NM.; Location: 25th Infantry Division Base, Cu Chi, South Vietnam; photo by SP4 Ray Byrne's 35mm Pentax with a self-timer mounted on a tripod
