Description
Mike Kittle was an infantryman in the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. He only had a few weeks left in vietnam and was out of the field when this photo was taken. His artistic modification of his helmet cover includes the outline of his home state of Virginia, a modified 25th Infantry Division insignia, and his personal interpretation of the social themes of the late 1960s...Peace, love, and flower power.; Location: 25th Infantry Division Base, Cu Chi, South Vietnam; photo by Jeff Hinman '68
