Description

The bandolier around Jerry's shoulder holds dressings for wounds, not ammunition. He was a good medic who saved a life when a man in our platoon tripped in a booby trap at night, seriously wounding three men, one of whom returned to the platoon after his woulds healed. While that man was recovering from his wounds, in a hospital, VC sappers ran through tthe hospital throwing satchel charges.; Location: Patrol base, SW of Saigon on a tributary of the Saigon river; photo by Jeff Hinman '68
