Description
Between 1968 and 1974, Tan Son Nhut was one of the busiest miliary airbases in the world. Our battalion rear area was next to the main runway and the constant noise from incoming and outgoing jets was stressful. There were times when I wanted to go back to field as an infantryman to get away from the noise.; Location: Tan Son Nhut Air base near Saigon, Vietnam; photo by Jeff Hinman '68
