Description
Sgt. Jim Ross and I were transferred together to the 25th Infantry Division from the 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Div. We were the division's replacement detachmen for several days waiting for assignments to infantry units. We were both assigned to the 2nd battalion, 12th infantry. Jim was a rifle platoon sergeant in the 2/12th.
