Description
Sgt. Larry Goodson, Cataldo, Idaho, spent most of his tour as a machine gunner and rifleman in the 2/12 Infantry, 25 Inf Div. IN the latter part of his tour he was assigned as the battalion correspondent to the 25th Inf div Newspaper "Tropic Lightning News". In 2014 Larry Goodson self published his Vietnam experience in a book entitled "Year of the Rooster". "We try harder" on the battalion billboard was "borrowed" from a well known AVIS rental car company ad campaign.; Location: Cu Chi, Vietnam, 25th Infantry Division Base; photo by Jeff Hinman '68
