Student Paper: Untitled , 2013

The papers of Gail C. Nelson contain notes, drafts of a dissertation, correspondence, diagrams, research data, and poetry. The papers document Nelson’s doctoral work at the University of Minnesota with related research in connection with the Hazelden Foundation, now Hazelden Betty Ford. Nelson’s doctoral thesis was entitled “Practicing Peace in Recovery with A.A. (Alcoholics Anonymous)”. The collection also includes syllabi, student papers and course evaluations by students related to classes on substance abuse and recovery. A grant proposal for a class entitled "Global Perspective on Alcohol and Substance Abuse," as well as a grant proposal for the creation of a Center for the Study of Addiction are also included.
