Records of the Office of the Dean of the College contain correspondence, memoranda, meeting minutes, reports, studies, plans, financial material and judicial hearings documenting the many areas of oversight by the Dean, including student discipline, fraternities and sororities, extracurricular activities, health and safety, student organizations, and the residential experience of Dartmouth undergraduate students. Over half the collection comprises the permanent files for each individual student, often containing material dating from the application process through graduation.
