Box: 8, 1962 - 1977

Contains files of correspondence with members of the Dartmouth College Class of 1921 and their spouses, from Hurd’s time as alumni secretary of the class, each file labeled with the correspondent’s name, and most of it relating to material for the alumni newsletter. Also includes some miscellaneous documents, such as records of the 1921 Memorial Books Program and deceased class members. Of note are letters to Mary Palmer detailing several articles Hurd wrote for the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine and the sale of Hurd’s manuscript on early Maine doctors to “Medical Opinion and Review,” a letter to Ralph Pendleton mentioning an article of Hurd’s on Eleazar Wheelock.
