Description

Contains correspondence from members of the Class of 1921, organized partly alphabetically, partly by individual correspondent. Of interest are a letter to Hurd from S. Heagan Bayles regarding Hurd being given the Dartmouth Alumni Award in 1968, a commendation given by the governor of New Hampshire to William P. Fowler, a member of the Class of 1921, a review of a book written by Jeffrey P. Hart, a professor of English literature at Dartmouth and the son of a member of the Class of 1921, an editorial published by Charles Moreau, a member of the Class of 1921, correspondence with Ellis Briggs, a US ambassador and Dartmouth graduate, correspondence with US Representative Kent McKinley, a member of the Class of 1921, a Dartmouth College Library Bulletin from 1960, and letters from Hurd to various classmates detailing an article he was writing on Native Americans at Dartmouth.
