Hard Times - Soup Kitchen Protest Favor-Funding, 1974-01-20

 Item, Folder 13
Part of MS-1412: John R. Scotford posters

Description

Can you believe that at this point in time (which may become as hard as the thirties) the Republican Party has invited Ronald Reagan to help them fill their war-chest at a $50 a plate fund-raising banquet? While they are tossing of drinks, lapping up the roast beef and having their ears and credulity assualted by the deep thinkers from Hollywood. We will be demonstrating our historic Vermont thriftiness by having a real Soup Kitchen Prostest Favor-Funding. Come to St. Monica's School cafeteria on Seminary Street in Barre, Vermont, starting at 4 pm, Sunday 20 January 1974 for soup and bread at a dime at dish! Ban Bought Elections. Help us find a positive way to elect responsible candidates and alternative answers to today's crisis - we need each other? Vermont People's Bicentennial
