Description
This file contains an advertisement from 1962 for a doll in the form of a stereotypical figure of an Indigenous person holding a tomahawk. It was billed as a souvenir "mascot" for Green Key weekend, a key social event at Dartmouth held yearly in the spring. This doll is related to the Dartmouth "Indian Symbol" in which stereotypical representations of Indigenous people were adopted as a mark of Dartmouth's identity.
