Representative objects include artifacts, tools, clothing, ephemera, trophies, clay pipes, horns, plaques, medals, pins and cups. Of note are Eleazar Wheelock’s saltbox, a black armband worn to protest George Wallace’s visit to campus, as well as material related to the 1935 burning of Dartmouth Hall, including a large bronze bell from the burned bell tower.
