From the Collection:

The collection contains 2 bound volumes describing the establishment, organization and accounts of the New Ipswich Academy located in New Ipswich, NH and kept by the school's proprietors. The school would later be renamed Appleton Academy after benefactor Samuel Appleton. A letter from Joseph Barrett to Rev. Thomas Burda and Articles of Agreement between the Trustees of the Academy and the State of New Hampshire are also included.
