Photographic collection with diaries documenting John W. Sheldon's around the world cruise on the S.S. Resolute in 1934. The collection contains 3 photo albums and 6 cases of primarily commercially available hand-coloured glass slides from Edward Van Altena studios. The cruise had ports of call in Madeira, Morocco, Mallorca, Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, India, Sri Lanka, Sumatra, Thailand, Bali, the Philippines, China, Korea, Japan and Hawaii.
