Subject files, 1920 - 2005 May Be Restricted

Series is comprised of Dartmouth College Athletic Council (DCAC) office files on various subjects. The files contain correspondence, meeting minutes, rule books, announcements, mailings, flyers, sports information releases, and documents on athletic facilities' operations and design, including architectural drawings. The largest portion of these files pertains to collegiate leagues, conferences, and athletic associations, such as the Ivy League, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Files cover a wide range of subjects such as DCAC members, cheerleading, insurance, sports information releases, publicity, undergraduate managers, and referees and officials, and correspondence with College offices, such as Business Manager, Secretary, Treasurer, Dean, Bursar/Comptroller, Admissions, Personnel, and the President's Office. Also included are Joseph Gilman’s Athletic Council files, as an alumni member of the Council, reports of Trustee Planning Committee on Athletics, and soccer scrapbooks.
