Description

Documentary film by Bill Aydelott '72 about the exchange student program Dartmouth initiated during the years 1968-1972. Subtitled "Blazing the Trail to Coeducation : 1969-1972." This program permitted interested women from other colleges to study for a year at Dartmouth - ultimately leading to the college becoming a fully co-educational institution in the fall of 1972. Includes interviews with Lucretia "Lu" Sterling Martin, Marysa Navarro-Aranguren, Arthur Fergensen '69, Dona Heller, Eleanor Billings Richardson, Wendy Samuel, Robin Thomas Poponne, Janis Checkanow Nelson, Lisbeth Lee Tarlow, Carol Dudley, Alice Reno Malone, Cindy Saranec Livermore, Ann Tarbox Birchall, Joan Rachlin, Pam Seton Lorenzo, Amy Sabrin, Kathy Duff Rines, Deborah Farrington, Martha Johnson Beattie '76, Lynn Loban, Samantha Norton '20, and David Alyward '71, among others.
