The papers of Albert Henry Washburn contain correspondence, records, notes, memoranda, photographs, scrapbooks and published material related to his career as a U.S. District Attorney, minister in the U.S. Legation in Austria, professor of political science and international law and secretary to Henry Cabot Lodge. Of note are the records of his time in Vienna which chronicle the post Wold War I political and social upheaval, and traces the development of the various socialist, anti-Semitic and democratic contestants in the political melee of the 1920s. Letters to his wife Florence Lincoln Washburn from digninatries and friends are also included.
