Personal and family letters written to William Smith Leonard while a student at Dartmouth College (Class of 1856) and while studying medicine with Nathan Smith at the Dartmouth Medical School (Class of 1860). Authors include his father Levi Washburn Leonard, his fiance Martha Greenwood, various relatives and his medical preceptor Dr. Albert Smith.
