Description
This collection contains a survey of literature compiled by the Department of Mines and Technical Surveys, Ottawa for the purpose of extending knowledge of formation, extent, and movement of different types of floating ice and accompanying navigational difficulties. The survey is on approximately seven thousand 5 x 8 index cards, arranged numerically by geographic region. Each card gives the geographic location, bibliographic reference, and a quotation concerning the sightings of floating ice.
