Fowler to Alfred Fowler of Milford, Connecticut, regarding his difficulties getting passage out of New Yokr to Savannah and from there to Augusta and teh mills where he had a job waiting for him. Also discusses wages and conditions at the mills and expresses his regret on hearing of his sister's death.
