Two-page letter from Daniel Webster in Philadelphia to Peter Chardon Brooks in Boston, telling him that steps have already been takine in Congress to bring up the bill for French spoilation claims. If bill is passed and writer's friends should need his services as agent for their claims, it is agreeable to writer. If his services are needed only as counsel, he declines.
