Fifteen-page report on President Lord's communication: The charity has effected very little good. Objections to his proposal to apply the fund to general purposes of education in Dartmouth College. The origin of Moor's Scholl and Dartmouth College and of the funds in England and Scotland. The belief that President John Wheelock expended the funds of the Society to build and maintain Dartmouth College. Recommendation that the fund be expended thru the American Board; the question of diverting it from Moor's School. Kirkland's mission. (Copy of Mss 833580)
