Description
Letters from Bernhard August von Lindenau in Dresden and Altenburg to George Ticknor in Boston, asking Ticknor not to mention the (unnamed) permission he has been granted and thanking him for books. Asks about the chances of war or peace and tells him that his duties do not permit him to visit with Ticknor. Mentions the new King of Prussia and the differences between European and American governments. In French, German and English.
